14"d Hardwood Shelf Inserts

These wooden shelf inserts are made from non-endangered, self-sustaining North American hardwoods harvested in the Catskill Mountains in New York. Each insert is unique in color and grain thanks to natural variations in the wood. Our liners also double as butcher-block tops.

Care

Catskill Craftsmen suggests inserts be oiled with 100% pure mineral oil once a week for three weeks and then once a month for three months. Afterwards, you can continue to oil whenever the surface appears to be lighter in color or to be drying out. You cannot over oil the wood. Please read here for more info from the manufacturer.

I bought this to top one of my chrome wire shelving units.  I have a pantry/laundry  room, and we needed to multi-function, and I still wanted "pretty".  This is a great, well made butcher block top.  I love this piece.  It isn't varnished, so you might want to varnish it to protect it more, if it's not actually a cutting board top.  Perfect!  Rich striping in the woods.  Very thick, and very stro
